Training

SCIP has been providing training for voluntary groups and charities for nearly 20 years.  Way back in 1999 we were teaching people how to get online, and set up their first email address!  These days we provide a wide range of bespoke services, designed to help the sector keep up to date with technology.

How it works

trainingWe enjoy helping you use modern software to do your job - helping others - the best you can.  If your organisation has an I.T. training need, give us a call in the first instance to see if we can help.  SCIP works with a great team of trainers, all of whom have specific experience within the voluntary sector.  Once we know the varying skill levels of your staff or volunteers, we can plan a tailored training session,  using our suite of laptops or your own equipment, either at your offices or at Community Base in central Brighton.  We listen to your needs, ensuring that any aspects of I.T. which have been holding you back are covered, and tailor our tips to what you need achieve on a daily basis.

For example, if you want to learn how to use Excel to manage your group's finances, we can help you set up a spreadsheet and teach you how to use it enter your receipts.  If you are struggling to use Publisher or Mailchimp to produce your monthly newsletter, we can help you create your own templates, not generic ones which you will have to reproduce yourself later.

What training does SCIP offer?

We can help you out with

    • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, Publisher, Powerpoint)
    • WordPress
    • E-mailouts inc. setting up HTML templates and organising your mailing lists

    • Using social media such as Twitter and Facebook to promote your projects

If you can't see what you need then just ask!

How much does it cost?
