Regional ICT Strategy for south east England
A central part of my role as Regional Champion in the past year has been to develop a regional strategy to help deliver the ICT support needed by the sector. This startegy has now been agreed and will guide my work for the next three years.
Aim
To ensure voluntary and community sector organisations have access to trusted sources of ICT support and guidance at a ChangeUp consortia level.
Summary
There are few ICT-specific activities currently under way in the region, so a key gaol is to raise the profile of what is currently happening and create a framework for further development.
Specific activities will be:
- Training and Support for Development Workers
- Working with Funders
- Working with Suppliers
- Better Brokering of ICT Volunteers
- Supporting Social Enterprise Solutions
- Developing use of ICT Health Checks
- Helping to prepare Consortium ICT Plans
More details of proposed activity in each area can be found on this site.
Working with key players on these issues will help link together projects, organisations and policy at a regional and consortium level, so that we can begin seeing what connections there are, what lessons can be shared and what gaps exist.
Please contact me if you need any more information about the work on the regional ICT strategy.
