New Guide helps charities make the best use of ICT
A new free Guide from the ICT Hub helps small and medium-sized manage their ICT. Written by Mark Walker, of SCIP, the Guide to Managing ICT in the Voluntary and Community Sector is an easy-to-use guide to getting the most from computers and the internet.
Mark Walker has been working on the Guide since late last year:
"I hope this Guide will help people get the most from their investment in ICT. It's designed for managers, not techies, so I've avoided jargon wherever posisble and linked the use of ICT to everyday activities in typical community organisations and charities.
It reflects a great deal of SCIP's experience form the past ten years, including topics such as planning, training, software and hardware purchases. It also inlcudes details of how to budget properly for ICT, which can help when preparing funding bids."
Copies of the Guide are available via the ICT Hub website at www.icthub.org.uk, or via the SCIP office on 01273 234049.
