Slow computer? Third party security software may be the root of your problems

SCIP has received several reports from clients about internet banking security software Trusteer Rapport.  It's been reported that the software can significantly slow down your computer and that once installed it will prevent you from logging on to other sites.

The remarkable thing about this software is it isn't a virus - many banks have made it impossible for online banking customers to access their accounts without installing it, claiming that failure to do so would go against fraud protection policies. This is a threat too far.

If you run regular Malware and virus scans, this is enough to keep you protected online. Also, remember to always leave the ‘remember login details’ box unclicked if you share a PC.
