SCIP’s Cunning Tip: Moving paragraphs in Microsoft Word

Did you know there’s an easy way to move paragraphs in a document without the hassle of copy and pasting? Read on for the solution.

There is a quick way of moving paragraphs around a document in Microsoft Word without using cut, copy and paste. It also works for changing the order of items in bulleted lists and even in tables.

Simply click your cursor in the paragraph, table row or bullet point you wish to move.  Then hold down the Shift key and Alt key together.  While the two keys are held down, use the Up or Down arrow to move the item up or down the document.
