| New pioneering work in Brighton. The Tactile Colour System enables visually impaired people including
thousands who are not registered blind to interpret coloured information by touch.
The idea was initiated by Lois Lawrie, a printer who lost her sight.
Teachers, printers,artists and users of varying visual ability have
contributed to the refinement of the system over the past 6 years.
National and international charities and research institutions have
assisited with field testing and feasibility potential . |
