SCIP continues to deliver net:gain, a nationally recognised training programme that helps voluntary and community organisations to manage their IT.

The net:gain programme draws on SCIP's long experience of working with staff and volunteers from voluntary and community organisation. We deliver it in two key stages:

  1. A training workshop that helps you review the current situation and introduces some planning techniques
  2. One to one support focused on the specific needs of your organisation.

Don't just wait until things go wrong!

We know that many people have day to day IT problems which mean they don't get the most from their resources, but we also know that many people only ask for help when things go wrong. net:gain gives us an opportunity to help solve immediate problems, whilst also helping look a bit further ahead and think about your options.

We only started in December, but we've already helped with:

  1. setting up a new backup system and training volunteers how to use it
  2. updating a website
  3. investigating room booking software for a community centre
  4. upgrading RAM
  5. IT issues arising from a merger

When you sign up to net:gain you also get one year's free membership of Experts Online, a web-based service that answers legal, HR and other questions.
