Word - Back to Basics

This course is focused on people new to word-processing or who are not confident with basic use of Word. The course is run over two sessions - one week apart - to allow time for practice. The course is delivered by skilled trainers who are experienced in supporting beginners and technophobes.

The sessions cover:

• understanding the screen layout

• different ways of selecting and highlighting data

• cutting, copying and pasting text

• basic shortcut keys

• page settings

• understanding different file formats

• basic principles of file management
