Introduction to Microsoft Excel

This course offers an introduction to spreadsheets using Excel.  Excel is part of Microsoft Office and is used for storing, manipulating and analysing data. It is a powerful tool that will save you time and effort in variety of administrative and other tasks.  

Course content includes:

  • Understanding the screen layout and toolbars
  • Creating and amending worksheets
  • Entering and editing different types of data
  • Time saving tools - e.g. autolists, autocorrect and find & replace
  • Simple calculations 
  • Formatting spreadsheets
  • Formatting data
  • Creating simple charts (graphs)
  • Page set up and printing
One Day
Pre-requisites: 
A basic understanding of Windows and word-processing
