Creating A Website using WordPress.com

This two-day course is targeted at small community groups to help them get a simple website together quickly at zero cost and to understand the various roles and responsibilities of website and content development and management.

At the end of the course, participants will have a live website on the internet.
The course covers:

  • identifying your audience
  • understanding what are you offering your audience and why
  • roles and responsibilities required to manage a website effectively
  • basic design theory and skills
  • understanding different types of content and using them appropriately
  • the functions and limitations of using WordPress
  • signing up for a WordPress site
  • understanding tools, themes and widgets
Two days
Pre-requisites: 
Attendees should have an understanding of using the internet as well as basic word-processing skills.
