Consultancy services

For the past ten years SCIP has been at the leading edge of developing community IT resources from within the community and voluntary sector. What we have learned can be shared with others through consultancy services.

Examples of our work include:

  • Producing the "Guide to Managing ICT" for the ICT Hub
  • Preparing an ICT Strategy for East Sussex ChangeUp Consortium
  • Similar work for West Sussex ChangeUp Consortium
  • Carrying out ICT Health Checks and follow-up support for museums in south east England, and voluntary groups in Kent , West Sussex and Surrey

Our team includes several people with extensive consultancy experience, able to bring both SCIP's knowledge and experience as well as a professional approach to meeting your needs. This includes both staff and Directors.

Consultancy services are led by Mark Walker. A founder of SCIP, Mark has worked as a consultant for local, regional, and national organisations. He has marketing qualifications and an unparalleled knowledge of the development of IT resources in local community settings.

He is currenltjy Regional ICT CHampion for south east England, a post funded by Capacitybuilders and managed by NAVCA. Organisations he has worked with include Department for Communities and Local Government [and its predecessor ODPM], ICT Hub, net:gain, Big Issue, Open Society Initiative and the ICT Hub.
