I Don't Like Going Out It's Too Big & There's People There
Split 12" EP with The Fish Brothers, released December 1996
SPANKING HERMAN RECORDS

The Fish Brothers have always been like the naughty uncles in the Anal Beard family, only too happy to take us under their foul smelling wings. We were only too happy to be molested. So we took ourselves down to the undergound Mandragora Soundlab in Summer 1996, just before it was demolished. Signs of decay were already quite advanced.

At this point we still liked singing about poo, but I think the slightly surreal Bus Pass acted as a stepping stone out of the puerile pantheon. Bird On The Blob found us in a lot of trouble with fanzines and young men, some of whom seemed to want to get offended on someone else's behalf.

Anyway, I have fond memories of hand stamping the labels onto these on a dark December evening with Heave Spillage while listening to John Peel. The launch night at The Freebutt was also very good.

Track listing: Fanzine Nerd, Cleft, Bird On The Blob, Ugly, Bus Pass

Lineup:
Hempy Nempy Wetness - Drums, Heave Spillage - Guitar, Bemble - Bass, Grebn - Vocals, Angnn Bognij - Keyboard, Master Beardsman - Backing Vocals

Interesting Fact:
Rich (Prince Of Darkness) missed out on singing on this record because he was at the Bhuddafield festival. The shit.

Favourite review:
"Terrible sexist shit. The worst record in the history of music" FRACTURE zine,
and "Possibly the best punk rock 12'' ever" NO REASON zine
