Go! Stop! was our first proper album and we really pushed the boat out, roping in everyone we could find who was able to play something, in order to give it a big sound. It was the first foray into being a band that didn't sound much like any other, and the four chord punk approach was giving way to something a bit more subtle. That was mainly down to Bemble, Heave Spillage and our new drummer Prince Ash, who were all really good.
I enjoyed doing this one - it was the first of many visits to Church Road Studio and our meeting with the eminently sexy Grant Lyons. It was recorded over a few days in Summer 1997, in the days when we weren't scared of various bosses enough to take days off to sing about incinerated cats, Satanic beds, UFOs and Saddam Hussein (we weren't scared of him either).

Interesting Fact: The photos on the sleeve are of the pedal powered generators at the Worthing Friends Of The Earth festival and of a dog that was wandering around with some sunglasses on its arse.
