SCIP Community Web Surgery
SCIP Community Web Surgery
- Do you run a website for a not for profit organisation in Brighton & Hove?
- Do you want some help to make it really work for you?
The SCIP Community Website Surgery provides a chance for you to get some FREE one-to-one help from local web experts.
Between April and July SCIP piloted a new regular surgery to help those people who run a community website but need some help to maintain or improve it. We ran sessions in May, June and July, and recruited a dozen volunteers with web skills to help us.
Here are some of the things that people asked for help with:
- Search engine optimisation
- Using google maps
- Wordpress/Joomla/similar free web software
- Writing for the web
We are currently evaluating feedback about the pilot sessions, but there was a good response and we expect to run something similar in the autumn.
WANT TO COME ALONG?
Use this form to express an interest and we'll let you know when we're running something similar in the future..
TELL US WHAT YOU THINK
We will continue to ask for feedback about what we're doing on the SCIP email discussion list, which has over 700 local members. You can join the list by going to this page.
